In my swap posting it says to list your HDTV name but just ignore that. Sorry!

Date: 6/10/5 11:00 AM
E-mail Address: vault85192@hotmail.com

I’d like to invite all of you to join in on this fabulous swap!

Here’s the info::

We will be swapping sets of ten, 6” squares. The squares from each set must be cut from the same material. There is no limit to the number of sets you may submit so feel free to put together however many you’d like as long as each set is of a different fabric.

I thought that orange would be a great color to go with. Anything from rich rusts to flirty tangerines. I’d love to see them all! The pattern doesn’t matter to me as long as some shade of orange is the dominate color. I’d like to avoid holiday prints though. Please choose fabrics that are 100% cotton and of high quality, after all if our creations are going to pass the test of time we’re going to have to start with the best that we can get! You will of course need to wash and press the fabric before cutting the sets.

Please package each set in an appropriately sized ziplock bag along with an index card printed with my name and address on one side and your name, address, e-mail address, and HDTV user name on the other side. (We’d hate to loose anything should something happen along the way!). If you are including more than one set within this swap please package all of your individually packaged sets within a larger ziplock bag so that they stay together.

Once you have your set/s ready to go you can mail them to me! Make sure to package them in something sturdy so that they arrive safely. Within your package also be sure to include a self-addressed stamped envelope that has enough postage to get your package back to you. (Please do not use a meter for this!) When you send your sets off please let me know so I can look forward to receiving them and I will promptly inform you of their arrival. If I receive your set/s and find it/them to be unacceptable within the bounds of this swap I will contact you via e-mail to discuss what you would like me to do with them (i.e.: mail back, save for future swap, etc.)

I’d like all of the sets to be to me by July 9, 2005. I will then have them back on their way to you absolutely no later than July 22, 2005. Of course once they are sent out I will certainly let you know so that you have something wonderful to look forward to! Should a problem arise with this timetable please let me know and we’ll see what we can do so that everyone who would like to is able to participate.

Please send me an email with your contact information included to receive my contact information. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Sincerely,

Kagan
(Your happy hostess!)

BRAND NEW ROUND ROBINS STARTING UP JOIN NOW :0)

There is 2 round robins that I am starting and they will be a 5" and a 6". Below are the guidelines I hope I wrote them simple enough for everyone to understand and if not give me an email and I'll do my very best to explain how this works.
If you would be interested please let me know by emailing me with your name, address, email address, and phone number (only for emergencies)

We will be swapping 100 charms cut at 5" and 6" (keep in mind these are two different RR's)

There will be 2 of a kind of each fabric,(these are good to have twins when you make those nickel quilts)

This fabric is to be 100% cotton Quilt Quality Only, no flimsy, see thru, stiff, or novelty prints. We will have a novelty swap sometime and I'll let everyone know about it. :0)

All fabric is to be washed, ironed, and cut accurately at 5" or 6" depending on which RR you would like to be in on.

We will place these in a baggie with a label having our name, address, email address on it.
There will be a mailing list in the package with the instructions and the list of participants (it needs to remain with the package at all times)

We will choose what we would like to have and remove those charms from the other baggies and then replace that EXACT amount in another baggie (that way we make sure we always have 100 charms in the package at all times)with a label on it having your name, address, email address, and then we mail it to the next person on the list.

Round Robins are fun to do and always exciting to receive. If you are willing to be an honest quilter and willing to participate according to these guidlines THEN I WOULD LOVE TO HAVE YOU JOIN MY ROUND ROBINS.

Happy Swapping
Brenda

I am not wanting to exchange --- however, I suspect some of you ole y2k swappers like myself might have seen a quilt online that I am looking for, but have lost the web address.

I am looking for a photo of a y2k charm quilt that looks like a map of the world --- from what I remember of it, it was beautiful.

If you can help me find it, please e-mail me.

:0)thanks,
Margo

1. This is a monthly centralized swap due on the 25th of a specific month. You can
join in or stay out any months you choose, as you please. The swap will be
swapped out the end of the odd months - January, March, May, July, September,
and November. You can send your swap at any time. It will be held until the next
swap.

2. Each swapper sends 12 identical sets of 10 different fabrics, each set in a baggie
exactly with your name and e-mail address.

3. Fabric must be good quality, 100% cotton "traditional" fabric. (no corduroy,
flannel or otherwise nontraditional quilting type fabric); washed and pressed, and cut
exactly 6" square. USE OF A ROTERY CUTTER IS REQUIRED.

A wise women once told me to always measure my squares when I was finished
cutting to make sure that they all were "square". Laying the charm on top of a
12x12 ruler you can see if they lay square and if the size is correct. Most ladies
don't want to "recut" the squares again and one cannot add fabric to an ill cut
charm!

Send only the types of fabric you yourself would want to receive in return. Please,
DO NOT send any flimsy or obviously "cheap" craft fabric and no solids. (Any
fabric that is not cut exactly 6" square and/or is of inferior quality will be sent back
unswapped.)

Please Note: This is not a novelty fabric swap so please make sure your fabric does
not fall into this category.

4. There are no color or theme months in this swap. Please try not to send "theme"
packets (i.e., all Christmas or all Fourth of July, etc.) as some people do not
celebrate these and/or just want a variety.

5. Please do not repeat your fabrics month to month; everyone is collecting as many
different charms as possible, so to repeat yours would mean duplication for others.
Please keep track of your past swaps... Repeat after 6-7 months is ok....

6. E-mail me at phoenixbird@totacc.com for the address to send your charms.

7. You CAN post your envelope from your home as it weighs under 1 pound.
Make sure you have adequate postage ($3.95) on the envelope please.

8. Include in your envelope a stamped ($3.95), self-addressed (make sure BOTH
the "return" and "to" addresses on your envelope have YOUR address) envelope for
return (DO NOT HAVE THE POST OFFICE PUT A METERED POSTAGE
ON YOUR RETURN ENVELOPE!)

I recommend you using the post office's Tyvek envelopes (they are like fabric
paper) as opposed to the flat, cardboard type of envelopes. There have been a
couple of instances where the cardboard envelopes have burst open en-route and
all the charms lost! DO NOT USE PAPER ENVELOPES!!!

9. In return you will receive 12 different packets from other swappers, unless we
have less than 12 swappers in a month. If there are less than 12 swappers, you will
receive doubles of what is being swapped. I will try hard not to send back "your"
swap.

If you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to contact me.

Thanks!

I have over 50 reproduction civil war fabrics of quilt shop quality that I would like to exchange for similar pieces of cw fabrics to get more variety for my sampler. I purchased mostly 1/3 yard pieces so I can trade any size squares up to about 12 inches. All fabrics are washed and ironed, non smoking household. If you are interested in exchanging some squares please contact me.

Hello, everyone! Our Guild, Scrap-A-Holics A. Nonny Mouse, is once again seeking your UFO's, orphan blocks, scraps and especially extra batting. So far, in two years, we have donated SEVENTY-NINE quilts to Project Linus! (See pictures of some of them here under Y2K Contest.) Please, if you are "spring cleaning" your stash and wish to make a donation, contact me! Thank you so much! Janice in NM

I am looking for a particular fabric from Moda's Priscilla line - they call it "flowing floral sage." It is dark to light pink (rose) rose bunches with small blue flowers on gentle green vines on a light sage green background.

I just need a small bit - 1/8 yd. would even be great. I am doing a quilt, bought what I needed, changed the design a little, and now I could use a little more, but it isn't in stores any more and is proving to be really hard to find on-line.

I have a good stash of civil war prints and a decent selection of florals and could trade yard for yard if anyone is interested.

Thanks!

I recently posted an idea for a round robin and wanted to let everyone know that this will be a fun, and rewarding round robin swap. I have been in plenty of them with only 1 mishap. I enjoy meeting each and everyone who plans on playing. I am also involved in Project Linus, and St Jude's Quilts for the patients there. I have been quilitng now for 28 years and plan on this being a great swap. If you would like more information please email me at the email address above or here at my work brenda.randell@tinker.af.mil. I do check my email at home when I can drag my teenager off the computer nightly. Be patient I WILL RESPOND BACK TO YOU. But at the same time all swaps do run the risk of someone not playing correctly and I hope that we will not have that here. If something should go wrong I will re-send out charms to the next person that should have received the package just to keep this swap going. I would like to have your name, both addresses (home and email), area code and phone number, and your interestes in what you would like to receive. I hope you will join this swap.
Thank YOu and I look forward to swapping with you.
Sinceely,
Brenda

This will be a monthly civil war swap that will be due on the 10th of each month. My goal is to get enough Nickel Squares to complete the Paducah Nine Patch Quilt from the book ‘Nickel Quilts“ by Pat Speth and Charlene Thode. I would like to start an exchange group of quilters that would like to exchange 5" squares -
a different color each month. Each participant must send in a minimum of 12 squares of one print (which can be cut from one fat quarter), but can send in as many sets of 12 as they like. Each individual set of twelve must be of the same print, but you may send in several sets of different prints as long as they are the correct color for that month. Participants will receive two squares of 6 different prints for each set of twelve squares that they send in. HERE ARE THE RULES:

1. All fabric MUST be 100% cotton and quilt shop quality...no JoAnn Fabric, Walmart, etc. If fabric is inferior quality, it will be sent back to you.

2. Send only fabric that you, yourself, would like to receive.

3. All fabric must be preshruck and ironed before you cut it.

4. Salvages must be removed before cutting and squares must be cut accurately, preferably with a rotary cutter. Do not cut too many thicknesses at once, as it can cause distortion.

5. I must receive each participants fabric by the end of each month and I will mail exchanges back by the 7th of the next month. Each participant must weigh their package and include the appropriate size envelope with the correct postage for their return squares. I live in Minnesota.

6. Participants should e-mail me when they send their fabric to me and I will acknowledge when it is received.

7. I will begin the exchanges with TONE ON TONES or SMALL PRINTS, we can then move into batiks, florals, plaids, stripes, 30s, Civil War, patriotic, or Christmas if the exchange group is going well. We can decide as a group.

8. Colors for this year will be: January - whites, February - reds or burgandy, March - greens, April - blues, May - beige or tans, June - pinks or peach, July - brown and rust, August - yellows or golds, September - blacks or grey, October - orange, November - purple or plum, December - aqua, turquise or teal.

I think this can be a fun way to get a variety of fabrics for nickel quilts, as well as any scrappy or charm quilts. Just contact me if you are interested and I will e-mail you my full name and address. Hope to hear from lots of you!
