Question of the Week

Question for the week of January 5, 2004:

Our question this week comes Judy R:

What can you do when wrinkled batting won't lay flat? I have laid it out flat for 24 hours. I've tried smoothing the wrinkles out with my hand--this just tends to stretch the batting.

Celia .Australia :
Try putting your batting in the clothed dryer for a half hour on warm setting, this will relax the wrinkles

Nancy :
Fluff at no or very low heat in the dryer for 10 minutes
Diana :
Throw it in the dryer, on air, low speed. They should come right out.
Charlotte :
Lightly spray the batting(using water in a spray bottle)and put in dryer (using air cycle) for 10-15 mintues. Remove from dryer immediately and lay flat for 24 hours.
Susan :
If the batting is 100% cotton, you can press it lightly with a warm iron.
