Question of the Week

Question for the week of December 1, 2003:

Our question this week comes Sue T:

I know I ask this ever year, but here I go again - What quilting things are on your holiday wish list this year ?

Charlotte :
Gift certificate to my favorite quilt shop.

Jennine :
Fabric, batting, and a guilt-free week of doing nothing but quilting!!!
Kristin :
Rulers of all sizes, fun threads, good scissors.
Katie :
I would love a quilting frame and time to see. I am in school and right now I have no time at all. The best present ever would be an unlimited supply of free fabric.
Rebecca :
Embroidery cards for my Elna Envision
Barbara :
The disc for my computer so that I can make my own labels for the quilts I make, rather than having to take them to Kinko to have the text transferred from paper to fabric.
Jackie R. :
I am a beginner, so would like to get things organized and be more productive. Happy holidays.
Mary Ann :
I'd like to get the Editor for my Bernina QPE170, some bobbins of course, I never seem to have enough of them, single hole plate, gift certificates from fabric stores, I'd absolutely LOVE a new sewing table, (think I'd die & gone to heaven if I got one!!!!)trip to Paducah, I could go on & on but I will stop!
wanda B :
I'm with some of the others here: someone to do all the dirty work so I can sew. Sure sounds good to me. Oh and that Gift Certificate for fabric is always a winner
Jean :
Nimble Thimble (medium). It's a soft black leather thimble with an opening for your fingernail, it has a little metal disc inside. I use that and an UnderThimble on my pushing finger, and a Thimble-It sticker on the receiving finger. I don't like metal thimbles, I am allergic to nickel and most metals tarnish on me.
Annette :
A 12 1/2" square rotary cutting ruler, gift certificate for fabric and rotary cutter blades. Oh, and I love the idea of someone to clean house, and feed everyone so I can sew.
Marge :
A really good task light - actually two of them. One for near my sewing machine and one for the chair where I hand quilt.
JudyPete :
Huge gift certificate to my favorite Q store. A NEW sewing machine...okay, I love my vintage Singers...but I really WOULD like to try one of those new hi-dollar machines. New rotary cutter blades. Electric Quilt. I don't suppose my DH is reading this. LOL
Marion :
someone else to keep house so I can sew!
