Shirley McElderry :
At my house! (Retired from quilt repair)
Jennifer :
Try the Kirk Collection. Website: http://auntie.com/kirk.main2.htm
Melissa (Lalalawyr@aol.com) :
There are usually many auctions for vintage fabric and quilt blocks on eBay (the online auction site), including feedsacks, and sometimes "ripper" blocks (similar to "cutter" quilts) that you can re-use. Just go to the "textiles" area of "collectibles" - http://cayman.ebay.com/aw/listings/list/category33/index.html

The best mail order source I know of for really good reproduction fabrics is The Patchworks in Amsterdam, Montana (6676 Amsterdam Rd, Amsterdam MT 59741. Margo Krager, the owner, is extremely knowledgable and her catalog is extremely helpful. You can call her at (406) 282-72l8 or e-mail : ptchwrks@alpinet.net or best of all, visit her web site at http://www.alpinet.net/~ptchwrks (I haven't tried that one yet myself but intend to immediately.) Have fun!
Charlotte Seaton :
Don't forget to hit the estate sales in your area.
Rosie :
There are many reproduction prints on
market today, beginning with the late
1800's and a very, very, large assortment
of 1930's reproduction prints. Check
out your local quilt shop, or find Marcus
Bros., RJR, United Notions & Fabric, P&B,
they are just a few of the companies who
offer reproduction prints.
mary :
Go to the quilt show in Paducah. april, 1999. Lots of choices on antique fabrics.
Quilt Magic's Carol Ann :
Your fabric could be as close to you as your oldest family member. Sometimes people remember that "someone" in the family aquired blocks or fabric...ask everyone you know and tell them what you are looking for...also ask at garage sales. People never think that this would be a HOT selling artical and never think to bring them out for a sale !
Good Luck !
lin humphrey :
If you want original fabric you will probably find some in speciality shops, most often in larger cities. If you can use reproductions, then several companies are selling some very lovely pieces. Check out the advertisers in the back of the quilt magazines, I find alot of speciality pieces in ads in Threads and Piecemaker magazines.
vickiev@GTE.net :
I was in Jacksonville, Oregon a few months ago and a shop there had original fabric that was from the mid to early 1900's
