Question of the Week
Question for the week of September 13, 1999:
Our question this week comes from Karen
I am a new quilter and want to use cotton batting. Which brand(s)
needle easily?
qulthaven@aol.com :
I've tried several battings. I do like fairfield soft touch. It draps nicely especially for wall hangings. I do think it is good try several yourself to find a favorite and to keep in mind what you will be using it for ie. quilts, wall hangings or wearable art.
ngwong@earthlink.net :
I started to quilt a year ago. I used to use only Warm and Natural, but recently tried Quilter's Dream Cotton Select, and it is a lot easier than W&N. You can get smaller stitches, and also machine washable and dryable too.
smcgraw50@aol.com :
I recommend Quilter's Dream Cotton Batting. The Request Loft is the least puffy and is easy to needle, I think. It makes a nice warm quilt. Best thing is, you can quilt up to 8 inches apart.
