Membership in the Coral Springs Quilters is open to anyone interested in quilting. We have over 120 members with a wide range of experience and interests. Our monthly meetings feature guests speakers, hands-on workshops, and a fabulous lending library! We also offer members weekly quilting bees, charity projects, and fun field trips. We also participate in the Broward Quilt Expo with three other local guilds, in March, every other year. We are working on the next show which will take place March 20-23, 1997.
Meets the 3rd Saturday of each month at Imperial Point Hospital, Auditorium Room B, 6401 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale at 12 noon. We are a small group of 42 but growing. We have monthly programs, workshops and lectures and on-going community service projects and a quilt show in odd number years. Dues are $18 yearly. Visitors a welcome.

The general meeting is held twice a month (except December) at Northside Baptist Church located at 19th Street and Airport Road. The morning meeting is on the 3rd Wendesday @ 9:30 am and the evening meeting is on the 3rd Thursday @ 7:00 pm. We gather at a member's home for a "Sit and Stitch" meeting on the first Wednesday, 9:30 am (Central Time),and the first Thursday, 7 pm (Central Time), of each month. Our service projects include making ABC baby quilts and this year we are making quilts for one ofthe Salvation Army's local shelters. At least twice a year we schedule workshops for our members by nationally known Quilting teachers. We have a Quilt Show every other year, the next being in February,1997, Kaye Wood will be our featured teacher and lecturer during that show. Meetings consist of a social half-hour with refreshments, a short business meeting, a program, show and tell and door prizes. Dues are currently $15 per year but likely to be increased for 1996. We have about 130 members, many of whom have been members since the guild was formed about 15 years ago.
We hold an annual show that is hosted by the Museum of Florida History and hangs for several weeks in late summer. (See quilt show information elsewhere on this web page.) The shows usually consist of quilts from guild members, the community and invitational quilts from the two national workshop teachers we have each year. recent teachers include Nancy Halpern, Cindy Blackberg and Ruth McDowell, who will be returning this November.
For those who cannot make evening meetings, there are about six sit and sew groups that meet on various days of the week. Future plans involve raising money for the Yes Mam! project and expanding our library of over 1,000 volumes to include videos.

The quilt club meets the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at the Craft Attic, 2027 Hoods Creek Pike, Ashland, KY (606) 325-1212. We are a very active group and donate quilts to the local police department as "comfort quilts" to be carried in police cars to be given to children or other needy persons in crisis situations.

Faithful Circle sponsors classes and lectures by local and nationally known quilters. We have a bus trip to the Lancaster Quilt Show and a shopping trip to some regional quilting stores. Our biennial quilt show is always a treat and every meeting is a mini quilt show in itself!

Our guild is incorporated to foster fellowship and support for beginners as well as advanced quilters in piecing and applique. Membership is $20/ yr. payable at the June meeting. Friendship Star publishes a monthly newsletter for its members. The newsletter identifies the speaker for the next monthly meeting, the activities of the various committees, any quilt shows in the area and any workshops that quilters may wish to take.

The WNCQG was founded in 1982 to provide an opportunity for area quilters to gather together and promote the art of quilting. We have approximately 200 members-- both men and women.
We meet on the third Thursday of each month with alternate day and evening meetings. Meetings may include lectures, slide shows and workshops, and always feature the popular Show and Tell. In addition, each geographic area of the Guild meets monthly to share information and techniques, and work on projects that are donated to the community.
Membership is open to anyone interested in quilts or quilting. Visitors are welcome to attend meetings. (We do not charge a guest fee.)
